Dear Families:

With quarter three well underway it’s been a very busy and eventful winter with our school community engaged in numerous academic and co-curricular activities.

Students and teachers are immersed in challenging lessons and projects that are aligned with the Common Core Standards. The Homework Help Club has continued meeting Tuesday’s after school in the library. The 7th Grade Board Game Club is going strong.  Our Yearbook staff are creatively working on publishing a memorable keepsake. The 8th grade DC trip plans are finalized, and the initial deposits were collected in January. The first installment payment was due this week, the next installment is due March 25th, and the last payment is due April 13th. The 6th grade Invention Convention is Tuesday, February 27. The cast, crew, and advisors for our musical production of Alice in Wonderland have been preparing and rehearsing for their March 23 and 24 performances.

Both our girls and boys basketball teams capped off their regular season titles by winning their end of the year championship tournaments. Meanwhile, sign ups for spring sports (Baseball, Softball and Track) will be taking place the week of March 1st.

Our annual National Junior Honor Society sponsored Blood Drive is Wednesday, February 28th, from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

There is no school on Monday, February 19 (Presidents day).

Please be reminded we do have school this Tuesday, February 20th.
