Mr. Alan Yanku
Principal of Brooklyn Middle School
March 14, 2017
Hopefully, you are all shoveled or plowed out and staying warm.
Have you ever wondered how you can help your child/student at home with his or her middle school math?
Help is on the way! We are hosting a Math Night for parents on Tuesday, March 28th, from
6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in our BMS library. Our evening is planned to help parents support their students improve their math performance and is designed for parents at all levels of comfort or discomfort with math. Please keep in mind that the key word is support - your student does the work, you provide the support.
This will be a hands-on-minds-on experience. We will have multiple stations and handouts and will share a variety of resources, including online resources. It will be a very informative and fun evening, and we believe you will leave Math Night with valuable strategies and resources, that you can immediately use to help your child at home.
It is not necessary to reserve a space, but it would be helpful for our planning, if you let us know that you intend to attend. Below is a form that your student can return to his or her homeroom teacher, indicating that you plan to attend.
We look forward to seeing you.
